Camilla Duchess of Cornwall at the Aluva Palace where she was given a olive oil bottle featuring her 2005 wedding photo
The Duchess of Cornwall roared with laughter as she came to face to face with her wedding picture today – on an olive oil bottle.
Camilla was given the home-made gift on a visit to a Women’s Empowerment Group at the Aluva Palace in Kerela during her official tour of India.
Artist Sherin Unneenkitty made the gift from an old olive oil bottle which she had filled with coloured gel and decorated and then placed the Duchess’s 2005 wedding picture inside.
Wed alert: The wedding photograph in the bottle was taken in The White Drawing Room at Windsor Castle
‘Look at me on this – brilliant,’ she said as she held the bottle aloft.
Sherin, who normally charges 500 rupees for a similar gift (around £5), gave Camilla the bottle as a gift.
‘Well that’s very kind of you, thank you very much,’ she said.
Indeed, the royal was offered armfuls of home-crafted products as she toured displays of everything from candles to crocheted throws. The Duchess of Cornwall wedding photo on an olive oil bottle,
