Jon and Sylvia Fadhl, owners of Jovia Farms in Dixon, were winners in the oil category for their Arbequina Olive Oil, a Spanish variety. Glashoff Farms were also winners in the oil category with their Roasted Walnut Oil.
Mark and Ann Sievers, owners of Il Fiorello in Suisun Valley, were finalists for their Frantoio Olive Oil, an Italian variety.
Each operation has won several awards in other competitions including some in Yolo County, Los Angeles and New York.
“It’s an outstanding thing for the valley and the county,” said Kathryn Tomajan, marketing manager for Il Fiorello. Tomajan also served as one of the judges this year.
