Storing olive oil in plastic containers could become a thing of the past if the Australian olive oil industry wants to successfully export to China.

Chinese authorities have a problem with plastics tainting the oil and they’re prepared to destroy consignments or send them back to Australia if tests prove positive.

Lisa Rowntree, from the Australian Olive Association, admits the food standards are tough.
