Basque chefs Juan Mari Arzak, Andoni Luis Aduriz, Martín Berasategui, Hilario Arbelaitz y Pedro Subijana -members of Technical Committee-, Eneko Atxa, Josean Alija couldn’t miss the date either. Neither could other Spanish high level chefs such as Joan Roca, Carme Ruscalleda, Quique Dacosta, Francis Paniego, Paco Pérez, Ramon Freixa, Marcos Morán, Dani García and Ángel León.

Italy: North Vs. South
“Italy: North Vs. South” will be the leitmotiv of this edition of San Sebastian Gastronomika-Euskadi Basque Country, a geographic denomination that will allow participants to enjoy and taste the two “Italys”, which in San Sebastián, will converge into one.

Thus, as pointed out by the organizers of the Congress, more than 20 Italian chefs will display to the public two different gastronomic universes recreating “one of the most fascinating cuisines of the world.” The program of San Sebastian Gastronomika will also include showcookings based on Italian ingredients.

The Kursaal auditorium will also host a posthumous recognition of Pedro Arregui (Elkano) and the delivery of the VI Gold Gueridón on Didier Fertilatti, from Quique Dacosta Restaurant.

In this scenario the winner of the second edition of Culinary Journalism Award Pau Albornà i Torras will also be unveiled.
