Crostini

Ingredients:

About ½ loaf good, crusty bread such as ciabatta, sliced as thinly as possible
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
Gray salt and freshly ground pepper
2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan, optional

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Brush the bread on both sides with the olive oil and season lightly with salt and pepper.
Arrange on a baking sheet and bake until crusty and brown, about 10 to 12 minutes.
Turn once about halfway through cooking, and dust with Parmesan, if using.
Serve hot, warm, or room temperature.
