The new, premium line of mono-varietal extra virgin olive oils celebrates the unique flavor profiles of single olive varieties and provides consumers with the ability to learn the unique journey behind each bottle.
To celebrate the launch, Pompeian has partnered with award-winning chef Marcus Samuelsson to develop recipes that bring to life the unique flavors of the new line of olive oil.
The Pompeian Varietals Collection ranges in flavor from mild to full-bodied, providing the perfect, complementary oil and flavor profile for any dish, from delicate seafood to juicy red meats.
Each variety has less than .5% acidity, an indication that only the highest quality olives were used to produce this collection. The line is currently comprised of three varieties, including:
Arbequina – a mild-bodied extra virgin olive oil with a round taste of mature fruitiness and a delicate sweetness of almonds, ideal for fish and vegetables
Picholine – a medium-bodied extra virgin olive oil with a green fruitiness, hints of herbs and a pleasing balance of bitterness, great for meats and sauces
