This olive oil is of particular nutritional value and its production quantity is limited. It is manufactured from the trees grown in the mountainous regions of the island and are 100% nature tended. The olives are collected exclusively by hand. !00% BIO.

Thassos, the northernmost island of the Aegean, has long attracted visitors due to its natural beauty.
The main occupation of the residents during the winter months is harvesting olives and making oil. A unique type of olive tree grows on the island. It produces the so called Throumba Thassou olive, which is considered unique. The first olive trees of this kind were recorded about 2500 years ago, planted by the Phoenicians. The maturing fruit can be consumed directly from the tree and tastes exquisite.
The manufacture of our company’s products is based on the traditional methods of its founders who cultivated olive trees over many generations. Since 1997, the current European regulatory systems for BIO-agriculture have been in force in most of the plantations.
A wide range of high quality products, named after the Greek Goddess Athena, is available, including extra-virgin olive oil, traditional wrinkled black olives called Thrumba, green olives known as klostades (pounded by a stone and then soaked in brine), and whole olives in brine. All these products were first available only locally, but soon came to the notice of connoisseurs of traditional Greek cuisine. Nowadays our products can be found in stores all over Greece. However, the greater part is exported, easily meeting the requirements of ISO 22000 and HACCP certification.
