Kolymvari Region benefits from higher elevation, which contributes to periods of lower winter temperatures and a rainy season, which starts from October until March.

The taste is fresh, with a moderately pepperish aftertaste and a nice lingering finish.

Mylopotamos area advances of long periods of sunshine, limited rainfalls and moisture. Along with the sea breeze, these elements compose an exceptionally gifted climate at this golden midpoint of Crete.

The taste is well balanced, robust, and fruity which lives a fresh after taste.


Mild.

In Greece the harvest is done manually, the period of harvest differs depending on the area (North or South Greece). In Crete we harvest during December , beginning of January. After the harvest of the olive oil crops , they are transported to the factory on the same day to immediately undergo the pressing procedure. Throughout all the stages of production, it is never exposed to temperatures exceeding 27° Celsius

The company is established in 2008, our vision is to provide consumers with premium quality Extra Virgin Olive oil mainly from Protected Destination of Origin areas in Crete. Our products are made in the traditional way by using modern methods of extraction & bottling.

Olvios (our brand name) means in ancient Greek blissfull, happy, fortunate , well off.
