Cetrale cultivar olives have Arabian origins and are now typical of our region. They are hand-picked at the correct stage of maturation, from October 1 to 25, and are carefully selected and continuously cold-pressed within six hours of harvesting.

The millenarian tradition of a cultuvation which is tied to the Sicilian country, the story of a family which succeded in having knowledge of this cultivation, the passion of a new generation, which is focusing on the future: this combination makes “Fratelli Aprile” one of the most renowned firms in the Sicilian olive oil sector.

Roberto and Daniele Aprile inherited the firm together with moral values which are such as a code of ethics: their tie-in with the Sicilian country and their deep respect for what it generously produces, their will to preserve South West Sicily agricultural and gastronomic heritage and their responsability as part of the country, their care for every olive tree and every single olive oil.

This ancient knowledge is now combined with the innovation Fratelli Aprile introduced in a very modern mill, which is constantly renovated thanks to a continous research of the best production processes and the most careful plant preparation and cultuvation techniques.

The entire oil production process takes place within the firm to guarantee that every step is rigorously carried out. Fratelli Aprile extra virgin oils are monocultivar, which means they are obtained by crushing a single variety of olives, in total purity. Biancolilla and Cetrale varieties, which are typical of this region, are selected and hand-picked at the correct stage of maturation. They are then pressed within six hours of harvesting. Due to this careful process Fratelli Aprile oils are low in acidity, with unique aromas and colours and a rafined flavour. Such qualities ensure that they make the ideal condiment for any dish and can satisfy the most discerning tastes. Fratelli Aprile olive oils’ quality, which is due to the different aromas of every single oil, is proved by the national and international prizes they won.
