  • The American market will have a leading role during the 5th World Olive Oil Exhibition

    The World Olive Oil Exhibiton (WOOE) continues to work towards and to foster the olive oil quality and the international olive oil commerce. The WOOE will be held on the 2nd and 3rd of March 2016 at Madrid’s IFEMA.

    Being the biggest worldwide olive oil market outside the Mediterranean region, and with an olive oil consumption of nearly 300.000 tonnes, the United States will hold a prominent position at the following WOOE, which will be held on the 2nd and 3rd of March 2016, with an important attendance of American importers and companies.

    This year, the 4th World Olive Oil Exhibition became established as the biggest Spanish trade fair exclusively devoted to the olive oil sector. The World Olive Oil Exhibition is the business meeting point for buyers, producers and packers from the entire olive oil industry, where the most prestigious brands of EVOO will have an outstanding presence.

    The WOOE is an event devoted to business, but it is also a forum for debate and international dialogue, which are key features for the sector’s development and for commercial relations among the fair’s attendees.

  • Today will open International Trade Fair for Business, Technology and Innovations" in Munich

    International Trade Fair for Business, Technology and Innovations” will open at the MOC Veranstaltungscenter in Munich. At this three-day event, a total of 51 exhibitors will be presenting the latest trends, products and services for the oils and fats industry. The show also features an extensive supporting program for the trade.

    This year Europe´s only trade fair for vegetable and animal oils and fats is attracting 51 exhibitors from 17 countries. The exhibitors come from Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Italy, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, UK and Uruguay. This event is a small but highly specialized trade fair, a meeting place for the ‘Who’s Who’ of the sector. 55 percent of the exhibitors come from outside Germany. A trade audience of around 1,000 is expected to visit the show.

    The exhibitors at oils+fats will be presenting the latest solutions for the production and processing of oils and fats, including quality control and assurance, raw and auxiliary materials, logistics, filling and packaging technology, and—new this year—deep frying.   • The second edition of Beogourmet is coming back on 07.11.2015

    Trade Show “Beogourmet” is the unique opportunity to present your olive oil products on the Balkan and Serbian region.

    Following the positive outcome of “Beogourmet” that took place on April this year, we are preparing for the autumn edition that will be significantly improved and enriched with new contents.

  • The World Olive Oil Exhibition takes a step forward

    After a year where large part of the stored product is already available for purchase, the World Olive Oil Exhibition will be held on the 2nd and 3rd of March 2016 with the objective of bringing to the market the early olive oils of the harvest.

    Thus, the WOOE organizers have taken into account the concerns of a large part of the sector, which is increasingly demanding immediate sale availability of early and fruity olive oils.

    This is a far-reaching trade fair for buyers, producers and packers from the entire olive oil industry, where the most prestigious brands of EVOO will also be present. The demand of olive oil in some emerging countries is also a great opportunity for the packaging industry to find its market foothold through an international event of such importance as the WOOE.

    During its last edition, the World Olive Oil Exhibition gathered more than 100 oil mills and increased the number of visitors by 25%, coming from 38 different countries.

  • Olive 3D - virtual exhibition dedicated to olive oil

    As if it were a video game, visitors to Olive3D (to be held from 10 to 12 November) can move its avatars through this virtual exhibition dedicated to olive oil, table olives and oleotourism; go to stands and make business contacts without leaving their office.

    The only things you need are a computer with internet connection and a webcam.
    olive_3dIn a sector very used to direct contact with the consumer, the advantages of a virtual exhibition are trying to fill a missing gap. “The sector is slowly getting used to this type of event,” explained to Mercacei Ricardo Rodríguez, director of In-Cloud Promoción Exterior, organizer of Olive3D.

    The benefits of this show compared to the traditional face-to-face fair are many, allowing people all around the world to gather in the same place, which makes it “a cheap and easy way to contact professionals everywhere,” says Rodríguez. It also allows to internationalize an event “in a sector in which olive oil fairs are very local, many of them with exhibitors and visitors of the same region.”

    So it is not surprising that the participation of exhibitors is already positioned around 70, although organizers hope that many more companies will be encouraged in the last days of the registration period which ends on October 15th. Anyway, visitors can register the same day of the initial launch, “another benefit of a non-presential event!.”

    As the organization has detailed, although Olive3D is aimed at professionals, anyone can register as a visitor. As for the exhibitors, the organization expects to bring together producers, packers and marketers of olive oil, table olives and olive oil tourism. There 2015-07-21_1234will also be a pavilion specialized in olive technology.

    Companies interested in attending the fair as exhibitors can choose from three modes: silver, gold and platinum stands. Prices for each are 1,300, 1,750 and 3,050 euros respectively. However, as Ricardo Rodríguez says, there are significant discounts to encourage exhibitors. Moreover, “we do not want any exhibitor left out of the project by an economic issue, we will surely reach a deal,” he says.

  • World Olive Oil Exhibition to be held on 9 - 10 March 2016 in Madrid

    Those eligible to apply for participation in WOOE 2016 include all individuals or legally constituted groups whose business activity is fully linked to the production, marketing, promotion or wholesale distribution of bulk oil, and who possess the corresponding licence.

    Applications to reserve space should be made before March 12th, 2016. The application process may be completed on our website www.oliveoilexhibition.com, or by downloading and filling out the form available there. The reservation will be considered confirmed when the WOOE 2016 office receives the reservation application and the deposit slip for €1850. The deposit will be deducted from the final cost (for the formalization of the contract, see final payment).

    NOTE: Given the limited capacity, spaces will be assigned until full occupancy is achieved. Those who register after this point will be informed and their registration fee returned.

    In this edition extra virgin olive oil producers and international buyers will meet as they already did this year, in which more than 100 mills gathered and it attracted visitors from 38 countries.

    According to the organization, after a campaign that has served to order the olive oil stored in Spain, this event presents the challenge of its consolidation as the only international exhibition dedicated exclusively to olive oil and take a step forward in its internationalization both in sellers and buyers.

    Over 1,200 companies are expected, around 150 of them specializing exclusively in organic products along with over 22,000 visitors. In terms of internationality too, Biofach America – All Things Organic has a great deal to offer.     This healthy trend is a result of the positive performance by the American organic products market.     Potential: US organic products market growing and growing
    For years now we have been very pleased with the developments on the American organic products market. According to the Organic Industry Survey conducted by the OTA (Organic Trade Association), in 2014 Americans spent 39.1 billion US Dollars on organic food. That is a growth rate of 11.3% compared to 2013. At 14%, the largest increase in sales in the last six years was recorded by biological non-food products, such as eco-textiles, bio-degradable packaging and natural cosmetics.

    Here, the increase in organic sales is independent of income and size of household. 90% of all the Southern and West-American households surveyed purchase organic products at least from time to time.     Friday have been awarded the prizes of the seventeenth edition of the International Fair of Olive Oil and related industries Expoliva, which aim to recognize both the quality and originality of some of the exhibitions shown at the event as the excellence of the which they have been considered best oils in the year.

    The XXIX Salon de Gourmets closed its doors some days ago at Feria de Madrid (IFEMA) with 84,117 trade visitors (+ 5.2% compared to the previous edition), 1,422 exhibitors (+ 22.1%), and over 35,000 products displayed, as reported by the organization.

    Attendance figures in this edition of the event have exceeded the expectations of its organizers, that expected 80,000 visitors over the four days of the show.
    Furthermore, as stated by the organization, “with 50% more foreign exposure and a business volume estimated of 192 million euros (direct and indirect), we can say that the internationalization of Salon de Gourmets has exceeded.”
