Mario Solinas Award – COI/IOC
The “Mario Solinas Award” is being granted by the International Olive Council (IOC/COI) and is certainly one of the strictest competitions. This year 111 extra virgin olive oils entered into the competition and have been evaluated.

Athena International Olive Oil Competition
held annually in Greece, at the Costa Navarino Resort near storied Pylos in the region of Messinia. The competition highlights the significance of competing in the age-old homeland of the olive and the birthplace of noble competition and the Olympic ideal.
The Terraolivo competition is being held in June in the ancient City of Jerusalem with a large international expert jury and a complex evaluation scheme. This year 408 olive oils have been entered and 282 olive oils have been awarded.

World Edible Oils AVPA Paris Contest in March 2014 will be organized for the 12th time by French a non-profit non-governmental organization AVPA (Agency for the Valorization of Agricultural Products), to promote high quality producers around the world.
Los Angeles Intl. Olive Oil Competition
The “Los Angeles Intl. Olive Oil Competition” is being conducted by the L.A. County Fair Organization and does always have a broad international expert jury. This year 481 extra virgin olive oils entered into the competition and have been evaluated.
Feinschmecker Olio Award
The FEINSCHMECKER Olio Award is being held in Hamburg in February with an expert jury from different countries, evaluating 750 olive oils, awarding 9 of them with the olio award and selecting a Top 250.
Intl. Olive Oil Award Zurich
The International Olive Oil Award is being held in March in Zurich by the Swiss Olive Oil Panel, trained in accordance with the IOC regulations. This year 113 samples from 13 countries haven been evaluated and 25 awarded.
SIAL Olive D’Or
The Olive D’or competition takes place in Montreal during the SIAL Fair in May. This year over 100 samples from 15 countries haven been evaluated and 9 awarded.
The Olivinus competition is being held in Mendoza, Argentine in the month of august with an international expert jury. This year over 400 olive oils have been entered and 187 prizes were awarded.
The Leone D’Oro competition from Mastri Oleari with an international expert jury takes place Brescia in August, Tihs year more than in 200 Oils entered into the competition and 26 have been awarded.
The Armonia competition with it’s Trofeo Alma is being held in May by the International Extravirgin Oliveoil Agency in Spoleto. This year 73 olive oils have received the awards from the international expert jury.
The Sol D’Oro competition takes place in March in Verona with an international expert jury This year over 220 olive oils from 30 countries participated and 68 have been awarded.
The L’Orciolo D’Oro competition from Enohobby Club in Gradara is being held in June with an international expert jury. In this years evaluation over 300 olive oils were evaluated and 154 gained awards.
is a comprehensive open-air event that will bring olive producers and their products together with users and consumers. The OLIVE JAPAN International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition is also held with Marche-Trade Show, Symposium and Seminar events.
The Monocultivar Expo led by Gino Celetti is being held in Milan in April with an international expert jury. This year 43 oilve oils qualified for one of the istinct awards.
The FLOS OLEI is the most complete guide to extra virgin olive oils and honour olive mills and oils for their persistent work. This year more than 750 oilve oils have been assesed by expert tasters and the best 20 mills received special award and olive oils ranked from 85 up to 97 points.
The Ovibeja competition takes place in Beja in April with an international expert jury. This year 18 samples have been honoured with the awards being given.
BIOL Premio Internazionale
The BIOL competition is being held in Andria in March and is the largest competition for ecological olive oils. This year more than 310 olive oils form 18 countries took part and 48 olive oils have been rewarded.
