The Spaniards are hoping to celebrate the Unesco recognition in occasion of Expo2015. Meanwhile Deoleo open to U.S. requests: green light to a review of the commercial categories of olive oil.

After the acquisition of Deoleo by the British group CVC, Spain thinks about how to retrieve the image of the olive world leader.

They would like that the Andalusian olive will be nominated as world cultural heritage by UNESCO.

A summit meeting between the President of the Council of Jaen, Francisco Reyes, the rector of the University of Jaén, Manuel Parras, the President of the Andalusian Committee for Organic Agriculture, Francisco Casero and Juan Ramon Guillen, president of the foundation that bears his name has formally started the process.
