    Copenhagen has become the gastronomic capital of the world with a strong 13 Michelin Star restaurants and soon to rise.

    This vibrant city is not only the leader in Scandinavian cuisine, having some of the best establishments in the world, but also some of the finest and most renowned chefs the industry has to offer. Olive oil has become one of the most important element for our diet, providing good health, and excellent flavor to dishes. People from around the world, top chefs and some of the best restaurants use olive oil on a daily basis to perfect their menu, and underline taste.

    Our Mission

    CIOOA was born to offer Olive Oil Culture and its Relate Cuisine to Northern Europe Costumers in order to enhance the comprehension of the Benefits of an Olive Oil Daily Diet. It will be yearly done with style and design by the steps below.

    Competition

    CIOOA being a non-profit organization, we will bring hundreds of the world’s best olive oil producers to compete for:

    – The Best Olive Oil in Copenhagen+ 2500 €
    – Golden Copenhagen
    – Silver Copenhagen
    – Bronze Copenhagen
    – Certificate of Excellence in Copenhagen

    In a bobble blind evaluation by our international IOOC Official Judges and the IOOC Panel Leader Dr Gino Celletti,

    In this years 1st competition CIOOA will not distinguish between Original & Organic olive oils. The reason is simply the ” focus “. By providing many different categories, the focus towards the media and everyone becomes limited.

    CIOOA would like to provide the most effective focus on your olive oil product. However Dr Gino Celletti will announce the best Organic Olive Oil at the VIP Ambassadors Gala Dinner & Ceremony at Ocean Club.

  • Les Olivalies® - 23 & 24 April 2014 Cannes

    For the 2nd consecutive year, the Union des Œnologues de France, (Union of French Oenologists) organizes an international competition featuring different olive oils: Les Olivalies®

    Relying on the experience of the Technical Centre for Olivier (AFIDOL), the UŒF will highlight the complementarity between cultivating vines and winemaking and cultivating olive trees and the associated products

    A jury of five jurors (including 3 foreigners and 2 French) distinguishes two days outstanding olive oils after an olfactory, taste and retronasal analysis.

    After this competition, stickers (Olivalies Gold and Silver Olivalies) will be awarded to the winners. These awards are a true means of communication and an add-value to marketing your olive oils.

    Reputed for its rigour and experience, the UOEF celebrates the terroirs of the whole world by organizing many international competitions, during which the profession excels itself in its capacity for sensorial analysis

  • Eleotechnia - the Greek Olive Oil Business Exhibition

    The 6th Annual Eleotechnia Mediterranean Exhibition of Olive Oil opened with a record number of participants. The four-day event began on March 7th at the Ellinko Airport in Athens featuring 230 businesses involved in the export, production and marketing of Greek olive oil.

    Eleotechnia featured several speakers and seminars and it’s considered the largest exhibition of its kind in Greece.

    “The main goal for many producers here is to learn how to export quality extra virgin olive oil abroad or to broaden their markets,” said George Kouvelis, managing director of Eleotechnia.

    “We’re also seeing Greek companies that are innovating during the crisis with new products and technology which is great for producers who are interested in improving their overall olive oil producing process.” read more OliveOilTimes
