FLAVOR YOUR LIFE: THE SIGNIFCANCE OF A LOGO
The name of the new campaign ‘Flavor your Life’, suggests the concept of living in harmony. This is an idea that Unaprol holds close to their heart and wants to share with consumers to improve their quality of life, starting right from the table … Extra virgin olive oil is not only a condiment to enhance the flavors of our dishes, but it is also very beneficial to our health. The logo is meant to represent all of these concepts …
When you first see the logo, the eye primarily perceives and recognizes the shape of an olive tree which is a clear reference to olive oil. When you take a closer look, you notice that the branches of the tree are actually four human figures. These figures, symbolize harmonious physical form to outline a state of good health. They are all emerging from a single trunk and have their arms upraised giving life to leaves and olives.
The tree in this logo symbolizes life itself that joins us all as a community, and if seasoned with joy and harmony, will allow us to produce great works and flourish like a tree when the fruits ripen.
The campaign ‘Olive oil and olives – European quality’, promoted by the European Commission & the country of Italy and realized by Unaprol was launched to promote awareness and the consumption of European high quality extra virgin olive oil and olives, in partner countries, through the diffusion of appropriate information about the quality of the product, its organoleptic characteristics, its usage in cooking, traceability and European quality acknowledgments (Bio, DOP and IGP).
The project provides for the realization of promotion and ommunication activities in the USA and Canada during the period 2011-2014.
This strategy involves the creation of very detailed actions to focus on one well-defined and well-focused target type in the USA and Canada for the implementation of initiatives. The program will focus primarily on the relationship with the distribution in the countries concerned and promotional activities will subsequently be conducted to encourage testing of the products. Finally, communication initiatives will be undertaken to consolidate consumption.
THE TARGET GROUPS
The target groups are homogeneous groups identified on the basis of type of function that the product will meet and, with regards to the final consumer, for relevant socio-demographic characteristics. The following are those identified for the purposes of this program:
– opinion leaders and opinion makers
– distribution of buyers and traders
EXECUTORS OF THE PROGRAM
For better implementation of the project and to optimize business results in the various markets, UNAPROL has selected the firm Cassandro in a joint venture with a highly specialized PARTNER in each market with a local team: GREEN SEED GROUP.

Serves 4, with leftovers
3 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary
5 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 tablespoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil

6 bone-in chicken breast halves (about 4 1/2 pounds total)
4 teaspoons high-quality balsamic vinegar
1. Set the oven at 400 degrees. Have on hand a large rimmed baking sheet.
2. In a small bowl, stir together rosemary, garlic, olive oil, and salt. Divide the rosemary mixture evenly among the 6 breasts, rubbing it all over the chicken and under the skin.
3. Place the chicken breasts on the baking sheet. Roast for 35 minutes or until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the meat registers 160 degrees. Let the chicken rest in a warm place for 5 minutes (the temperature will rise a few degrees).

Following a recent article published by The Sentinel which reveals a new method of olive oil production and authenticity testing, Bellucci Premium releases a statement.
On July 22, Bellucci Premium comments on California’s recent attempt to produce and test olive oil more efficiently.
According to an article published by The Sentinel on July 4th titled, “Ag at large: Olives in bloom trigger oil boom,” California growers are being pushed to develop better growing methods due to the high demand of olive oil from chefs. In California, a new planting system that puts olive oil trees only inches apart not only lets the farms plant more trees, but also makes it easier for machines to extract the olives, according to the article.
Even though California has adapted its processes to help with the demand of olive oil, “98 percent of the olive oil in American grocery stores comes from Europe. Producers in Italy, Spain, France and other European and Mediterranean countries have dominated the American market for decades,” says the article.
Since there has been an issue with brands diluting their olive oil with other oils, the Agricultural Research Service has developed a cost effective way to check for diluents. With just a teaspoon sized sample, their test can determine if the concentration of diluents is 5% or higher. The process only takes between two and two and a half hours, which helps get the bottles on shelves quicker.
“New testing to make sure that olive oil is not diluted will bring comfort to consumers,” says Natalie Sexenian, marketing manager for Italian olive oil producer Bellucci Premium. “At Bellucci Premium, we take all of the proper steps to ensure the freshness of our extra virgin olive oil. We include a traceability app on every bottle so that consumers can see where the olives that produced their bottle of Bellucci Premium were grown.”
Bellucci offers three different types of oil, including an organic option, with a mild peppery flavor and fruity undertones that will satisfy any palate. Bellucci Premium Toscano extra virgin olive oil uses olives that are grown on the beautiful landscapes of Tuscany, and maintained by 3rd and 4th generation farmers. The third type of oil Bellucci produces is the finest 100% Italian extra virgin olive oil, grown in many different regions of Italy.VN:F [1.9.22_1171]VN:F [1.9.22_1171]

Pyramid Pet Products was founded with a simple goal: produce the healthiest pet food available on the market. Apart from using multiple natural protein sources with added super foods including blueberries, kelp, sweet potatoes and probiotics, what truly sets the company’s pet food, Tuscan Natural Pet Food Products, apart from others is nutrient rich extra virgin olive oil — nearly a standard full size bottle of olive oil in a 30-pound bag, or the equivalent of a tablespoon per serving.
Olive oil is among the principal aspects of the Mediterranean Diet, a nutritional regimen inspired by the traditional dietary patterns of southern Italy, Greece, and Spain. A diet rich in olive oil holds multiple benefits: it lowers cholesterol, helps digests proteins better, works in the pancreas to prevent sugar spikes and lows, fights diabetes, is a natural anti-inflammatory, and aids in the prevention of bone density loss.
“The idea for Tuscan Natural Pet Food Products was born out of our appreciation for olive oil and its many health benefits, so we asked ourselves why we shouldn’t include it in our pet’s diets as well,” said Matt Boyer, president of Pyramid Pet Products. “We began researching why other pet foods don’t use olive oil and found they were using cheaper polyunsaturated fats. Generally speaking, we saw companies using inferior ingredients, putting profits over the health of pets and felt that we should formulate a healthy, nutritious diet that would include only the finest ingredients.”
In addition to its generous use of olive oil, Tuscan Natural Pet Food Products contain fresh meats, whole grains, healthy monounsaturated fats, wholesome fruits and vegetables, vitamins, minerals, and probiotics to aid in healthy digestion. They offer three lines of products for all life stages of cats and dogs including:
Simply Pure — A limited ingredient diet for dogs with allergies or sensitive stomachs
Harvest — Multiple Protein sources with added “super foods” such as blueberries, kelp, sweet potatoes and probiotics
Carne — Grain Free Dog and Cat Food
Tuscan Natural Pet Food Products is available throughout the United States.
